Pearl is a name chosen with purpose. Like a pearl slowly forming in the quiet protection of its shell, this coffee matures over time—absorbing complexity, evolving in character, and emerging as something rare.
The journey begins at the renowned Ratnagiri Estate (1350 MASL), where naturally processed Cauvery beans are selected for their depth and sweetness. Oak barrels are soaked in premium single malt whiskey for 30 days, allowing the wood to drink in its rich, smoky warmth. Once seasoned, the barrels are filled with the fresh beans and left undisturbed for 45 slow, transformative days.
Inside, the beans soak up the barrel’s aroma, capturing the essence of whiskey without retaining a drop of alcohol. The result is extraordinary: a symphony of caramel chocolate, mixed berries, and a smooth malty richness that lingers on the palate.

The coffee beans have a good aroma. They have chocolaty and spicy notes. However the body of the coffee is quite average. Coffee beans quality is A/AA (medium sized beans as stated). The beans were freshly roasted. I ordered a light medium roast…the brand is not true to the packaging/customer requirements.
